DiProcol gauges ?

1032 Views 7 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Hood Latch
Anybody know the diameter of the DiProcol mechanical fuel gauge? I need to order a pod for mounting, but can not find any info about wether I will need a 2" or 2-1/16" opening. I ordered the gauge on line, but no reference to it's diameter was found. Hood Latch:confused013:

they are 2 and 1/16" but most use a 2" pod and press fit them in, that is what I did.

Thank's much to all who replied. Everything is ordered for the job, and by this time next week (if I can get in the shop) my stock 2001 will have a replacement style OEM lift pump and a mechanical fuel pressure gauge installed. I am going to install the gauge 1st. , start it up, take it for a ride, and see what the stock Carter pump is providing. Then install the new lift pump, bleed what's needed, fire her up, take another ride and check the difference. When I am finished, I will start a new thread here as something like "stock carter vs. fass ddrp" . I know, that some guys don't like the fass ddrp, but, for a number of different reasons I have decided to go with that one at this time, and it will be going into the oem position on the side of the block. If there is an issue with "hard to start" after the fass go's in, I think I might be able to diagnose the problem (thanks to the knowledge gained here and on Mopar Man's site) and be able to come up with a probable cause. I can then proceed from there. I will report back after the job, hopefully without having to seek help with a problem. Thank's again...Hood Latch

Not to change subject, but where did you order your dipricols from? Thanks. I was thinking of getting mine through puredieselpower.com, any experience with them?

I ordered mine from puredieselpower.com. They were the only source that I could find that had the one that I wanted in stock. Should be here in a day or two. I will report back on this thread as to my experience with them.......Hood Latch
