My first project on the truck was putting a premium fuel filter kit on. I heard a lot about issues from wear and the expense that job costs. So I researched and found this aftermarket fuel filter kit:

Diesel Fuel Filter Kit

Took about 2 hours maybe, quite intimidating to be cutting into fuel lines. For those also lost, there's 3 lines in that area two the same size and a third that's larger. The larger one is the line you're looking for. Awesome 2 micron filtration and a great separated water separator.

Just so you know, the cat 1r-0750 is a 4 micron filter. Cat does make a <4 micron filter to replace it but I can’t remember the part number off hand.

Definitely an upgrade from stock filtration.

Oh crap, they were selling these as 2. 4s still way better than the what 7 or 10 with the stock.
Thanks for the tip. 👍

Good job. That's plenty of filtration.
