I have a 63/74/.91 turbo CAI and 5" turbo back exhaust so far. i driving my truck pretty hard. if i set my truck to sw4 or 5 and drive it kind of hard am i going to drop my tranny pretty quick? also if running sw 3 and lower is the way to go should i adjust any of the other settings? thanks for all help guys.

I give it a month with a aftermarket turbo and smarty. Better save for that tranny build!!
:agree2::agree2:
The smarty Jr will kill a Trans, I give it less than a week before you burn the fractions up, and or converter
Theres no babying it with what youve got already on. Be prepared for a tranny build.
I"m planning on upgrading my transmission soon but right now it's stock. I drove around for months with my smarty on sw7 and was pretty hard on it. Still shifts just as crappy as it did before...lol Also have done some towing around 9,000 pounds on sw5 and other than high egt's didn't notice any issues
He is on 35s with a larger turbo. Cant see living to long if he is hard on it especially.
A friend of mine has been on a stock trans with a 64 and EFI for a while and his is still hanging on. I wouldn't say that's typical though.

So what im getting is like I thought be ready to build a tranny in the future but how far in the future seems to depend on how hard I am on it. If I ran sw4 with timing and was rough on it but not flooring it all over the place, do yall think I could get from now till apr with it? Just need time to coax my wife into the idea of borrowing against my truck to put a full billet bulletproof tranny in lol. Just to be clear im talking about running the revo tunes not the tnt-r. Thanks for the info so far though guys! Does $9000 installed with torque converter and flexplate sound like a fair price for a bullet proof tranny? Or would I be better off calling sun coast or ats or any other company and then finding someone to put it in?
$9000?! I'd say closer to 4 would be decent.

Honestly these transmissions differ, some can take it some will not have any of it. You might get lucky. If you wanna floor it all over id stay stock. Ive laid the beans on mine since 400,000 kms. Been thru a jr SW3 cranked, SW9 TNT-R cranked for a while and now i got efi with a street/performance tune and twins. She hasnt liked any of it but shes holding out. It REALLY doesnt like the max effort tune itll slip hard and bang and everything, but then again 400,000 kms of an old guy driving then 25,000 kms of me beating it up. Shes time to get a new one. Again, you might get lucky like me you might not. Depends if you wanna take the chance.

$9k might be a tad on the high side but if that includes INSTALL for a full comp billet tranny with new triple disc converter and flex plate....I would say it is in the ball park but you can probably get a little better pricing...
Full billet trans installed $6500 is more like it.

Including triple disc converter and billet flex plate? If so people work a lot cheaper where you are.

Yes, everything. Be in range of $6500-6700.
