Used a flopro dpf delete kit, the 835nb one. Used a race me programmer set on sw1. 33" tires and a light foot I can't manage to get over 16mpg. Changed air filter which was dirty but made no difference. How do you guys get over 20 mpg cause I am 16 on highway 12 in town after deletes. I thought it would e better than this. Just changed fuel filter and ordere my ccv filter. Anything to look for or change? Thanks guys

The answer is 3.42's, deletes and stock tires, makes +20mpg's on the highway no problems.

Even gets there easier now that i opened up the max torque with custom MCC tuning, even at 120kmp/h i make better than 18mpg.

Just with deletes if i went through a whole tank without shutting it off, only highway i could get slightly over 900km on a tank, now i bet i could get the 1000kms off one tank. My combined average hwy/city used to be 13.2mpg with just deletes, now i am at 15.1mpg combined with deletes and the new tune.

That's US mpg too not the mega Can/Uk variety.... then my truck would almost be making 30mpg!

I know here they changed to a winter blend fuel and my mileage has tanked. Otherwise I average 19 with 285s, empty, norcaler tune, and a really light foot

No...not yet anyway...and depending on where you live ypu may be getting winter fuel...which kills fuel mileage...what's your rpm's at 65?

33's are probably the problem. If they of the off road style they will weigh quite a bit more than stock tires. Swinging extra mass at the wheel chews up horsepower. You'd think the bigger tires would mean fewer RPM's on the freeway. It really doesn't work that way. Also, raising up the truck doesn't improve aerodynamics. Not that our Dodge's were very slippery to begin with, but higher is not better.

Last, I haven't visited the promised land of 20 + MPG. I'm getting close but to get there I need to back off the speed to 65 MPH. I'm not sure how some guys are getting over 20 MPG but I'm not seeing those numbers in our '07.5 Dodge CTD.

I just completed a 3000+ mile round trip from Texas to Michigan in the ole CTD. Hand calculated I was at about 20.5 average for the trip. 4 grown adults, a baby, plus the entire bed filled with gear and such. I am on 285/70R17s. A bit shy of 33s. Deleted, tuned on the SW5 tune, and I think my biggest factor, 2WD. I was happy with the mileage. We were 50 miles shy of getting to our destination west of Grand Rapids Michigan on just one fill up in the middle. Average speed of 70mph GPS with 1700ish RPMs at that point.

Like others have said.....give it some time. I have almost the exact same set up as you but with bigger tires. When I first did the deletes my in town mpg only came up from 9 to 11. About 1k miles later, my in town is up to about 14 and still seems to come up a few tenths ever fill up. Don't have much experience with highway mpg's.

I've only calc 20 mpg one time, it was when I did all hwy miles, literally pulled off the hwy and got back on and I was able to squeak 20 mpg on the dot. I was also coming from about 1200 ft to sea level. If I do any city driving it drops considerably. I typically see 14-18 per tank depending on how much city driving I do. Your just not going to consistently see 20 mpg in your truck. Don't believe everything you read.

I just did the deletes about 800 miles ago. HS mini maxx, sb cai, & flopro dpf delete pipe. I am getting 23mpg on the highway with stock tires. City & hwy combined to and from work I get 19.2-19.4. What I find hurts my mileage (besides my foot) is wind... No wind, Im good for max mpg. With wind, Im screwed to about 18-19 on hwy.

All of that is about to change as I am going to be putting 33" Toyos on.

I went from 11.5 to 14.5 / 15.5 deleted on my leveled 2010 Mega Cab. So 16 would be pretty good for me.
