I decided to do a All vband billet 76/65 t4 .68 ar over a billet s475 t6 1.32( ill be switching to a billet s488 soon) 60/45mm external gate , 6x.022 injectors sac style using quadzilla for timing and to limit fueling until I either swap pumps getingt a ppump , monster pump or dragon fire undecided. I also grabbed 7/16 push rods , banks intake elbow . mitishmoto intercooler and aluminum radiator bd diesels torque loc and brad mph eliminator . I have a few tricks up my sleeve to push or possibly break this SO pump until I change pumps . Ive purchased a new seal and plan on making it so it cant come out along with a 30 psi ofv I have.
I have to do springs and set my pop off pressure on my injectors and im finished. Im curroius to go to the dyno now.

Have you considered studs before you get all that plumbing mounted?

Yep im not a welder I dont claim to be . Im a machinist by trade . Aluminum not easy to weld though. If you notice my last picture of the air filter things got allot better. Its all air tight thats what matters to me.
What do you mean by studs?
Head studs? Ive ran over 100 psi with stuck bolts as have many others . I personally think thee over rated. I wont ever see enough hp for it to matter at this point it wont be a high hp system.
I have a billet 7875 thats has the same mounting dimensions of my 7665 . I should be able to switch the two out. I may consider studs then. But who knows if I ll ever use the 7875.

100psi with stock head bolts...that's impressive.
I'm thinking of a pulse TIG to get a little rhythm/better duplication to the weld.

It was 105 to be exact. That was on a fresh rebuild with the head bolts torqued to 155 ft lbs. Well they still are.
I have a Everlast 250ex power tig . I started using my pulse function on the air intake that's why the welds got so much better lol. Ya I'm no welder. At this point I don't think classes would help me I need more seat time.
I've owned my Everlast for 3.5 years now and love the welder. And we have red and blue welders in my shop being used all day.
I also own a Eastwood 200 amp ac DC tig welder I'm not really found of it. It sucks at doing low amperage stuff and suck at ac welding.

Your primary seems odd. 76mm compressor 65mm turbine? guessing that's why you have a large gate on it.

None of it is to large in my opinion. My primary is what it is . Turbonectics and precision use compressors this large very often. . Theres are much more than Borg warner turbos in the world. More people should try them. My primary was cloned after the turbonetics hurricane line. My primary is very small actually, thats why I have the gate I do . I wouldnt say its large its smallest opening is 45mm. Its a HKS clone.
I have a bunch of turbos here from past projects or projects that didnt happen I could build all types of funky compound setups Bt I chose this because my billet 7875 will swap direct on the exhaust side If I ever want to get real wild.
I say that abnormally large billet compressor will ingest air from the secondary better.

Nothing wrong with that. I use to own a older tweeco tig for a short time .A new welder will improve on the skills you already have but all the gimmicks and new features honestly didnt wont make you , me a great welder pulse(as you see) , triangular wave adjustable frequency I dont even know half the crap it does .Pulse is nice it gives you time to react while freezing the puddle but it cuts your usable amperage in half.

Definitely interested to hear how she runs. Unconventional builds tickle my fancy.
Defiantly different. Im trying to finish up with it this week . At this point I can only work on it during the weekends.

Finished all the welding , installed the new crower valve springs and manton 7/16 pushrods. Im now setting my pop pressure to my new injector . I snapped a pic of the 6x.022 sac nozzles next to my 7x.013. Wow . I should snap a pic of those two next to my rv275 injectors.
Next im pulling the VP44 so I can install a new seal and epoxy it in there so when I install my 30 psi ofv and fass fuel pump spring it doesnt blow out the seal. Well thats my thought at least.
So I need to heat wrap everything and install some AN bungs w/ a catch can for crank pressure relief inline with my turbo intake , wire up my bd torq loc with my brad speed eliminator few gauges air bag sety I purchased and ill be finished. Im hoping to hit a sled pull this season.

I wonder if opening up the inlet of the vp44 would yield any results. I remember the orifice of the fitting going in being tinny, at least compared to the 1/2 line feeding it.

How much money do you got into the pop tester? I got a few sets of injector bodies and some nozzles I would like to play with..

I've seen pop testers on ebay fairly reasonable, it's the Moore #8301 adapter for our 24valve injector bodies that might be a little pricey if you can find one.
Yup, I do my own pop testing too.

Ive read it makes it fragile on comp d . Im not really looking to alter the vp44 . Epoxying the seal is something guys do with with the VE pump. I figured I could try it. Ultimately I would like a dragon flow pump.
Pop tester cost about 200$ . 100 for the tester 100 for the adapter used on the injector. You have to buy a shim kit that cost 50$ also to change injection pop rate.

The pop tester was cheap . 100$
I've seen pop testers on ebay fairly reasonable, it's the Moore #8301 adapter for our 24valve injector bodies that might be a little pricey if you can find one.
Yup, I do my own pop testing too.
I have a Moore adapter i bought used for 100$ but there a few guys on ebay selling similar adapters on ebay for around 100$ and one guy in India selling an adapter for 55? I guess it's good to have I have a 12v too I could use it on.

There are few people not many that are making good power with very large injectors throttled back. I would rather have the room to grow running an injector at a low pulse width then having my injector turned up all the time or times when you need a large injector in a certain point of the rpm but just don't have it.
It's all in the tune... When it's time to grab a dragon fire monster pump or p pump I will have the injector that will support what I want. . . I think a s488 will go good with these injectors.
When I talk about theae injectors my intention is obviously no tuner or even detuned..

I know guys running large injectors in the 160hp pump say it helps deliver more fuel out of the lazy cam, im sure the vp would be similar. It will prob haze at idle pretty bad though.

I would get the injectors you want a quad or mm3 can detune injectors the quad will be smoky at idle . I never ran my 7x.013 dry on my SO pump unless my quad was jacked up.
I don't think we get a good enough idea of what fuel pressure really is obviously it's draining but my gauge will still report 10 psi.
I have a p-pump 12v I really don't want a 24v idea like a dragon fire pump but there not being made. I think pumps are great for compitetion use every thing else I dislike about the ppump.

I dont regret going p-pump but do miss the bottom end variable timing offered. My dream is to some day mess with a OM606 pump sprocket adapting it to the p-pump. The cr grass always looks greener.. :doh:
