Truck: 2005 QC 4x4
Steering: Thurenfab heavy duty
Ball joints: Carli Uppers (1st batch)
control arms: no name adjustables
tracbar: Thurenfab
caster: >5.25*

had approx 80~90k on this setup when I 1st had the DW, truck had approx 175k on it. Control arm bushings probably had way more than that since I dont remember when I did the install.

Swapped bushings in the control arms and tracbar and reduced the DW significantly but still felt like it was loose and would want to start. Checked the ball joints & upper & lower on 1 side were both loose. Swapped them out for a full set of the current rev Carli's & problem is gone.

I previously swapped some worn out tracbar bushings and did not have the DW in any way.

So... the point is even with the added caster you could still get the DW if the CABs & BJ's are loose/bad...

hope this helps someone...

Good info and very true. DW can be caused soo many different ways it just sux. Even with good ball joints and bad control arm bushings it can happen. Yet a bad track bar bushing wont always let it happen just doesn't hardly make sense some times haha.

What control arms are you running? Do you have any kind of lift? Im wanting some adjustable ones to run with a leveling kit that will later be an actual lifted spring. I know its not nessecary but that's my plan haha.

bought them off ebay... very basic ones and I think they ran something like $250 or so for all 4, all adjustable. The guy sold a non adjust pair as well for the tops IIRC. I contacted him about 9 months back to buy replacement bushings which is what I just put in. Cheap rebuild at $50 bux or something like that.

I have Kore coils & Lorenz leaf packs in the rear... approx +3" up front & 5/8" in the rear.

Still have the injectors in your sig? Did you notice a fuel mpg bump with them? I'm running them for about 7~8 months now and have noticed about 1 mpg...

Yea im still running those sticks. Cant say much about the mpg gain anything is a gain over the 7 to 8mpgs i was getting before the rebuild haha. Im getting 15 to 16 mpgs which i think is rather good for a 11,500lb truck. I also have the wrong turbo (a 341) so thats hurting my mpgs im sure. Should have a 351 withing the next 2 weeks so hoping that helps out some.

Its a Welding rig truck 11,500 is conservative haha I easily push 13,000 depending on what type of job it is then hook up my 5er and HELLO im at 28,500 if I have empty tanks and nothing extra packed into the trailer. Its a 40 foot trailer btw awesome to live in a pure bit*h to pull once loaded all down like that.
