Seriously, you just keep on worrying about your beer supply.

Thats way more likely to be an issue than the baldwin filters…. These trucks are not that delicate
so let me get this straight… Rock solid fuel systems??? then it’s ok if we buy discount filters and junk fuel?

Read my post. Trying to get opinions on why the mopar dealership would use non mopar parts. Not a kiddo.
if I could delete this entire post I would.

I changed fuel filters in a friends 2018 2500 yesterday. First change not done at dealer. I recommended he stay with mopar filters. I was surprised to find baldwin filters in both front and back. Would it be normal for a Chrysler dealership doing service work to use something other than mopar? I checked filtration specs on front filter, <4 is what they listed, but the mopar is 3 microns I’m pretty sure.
Would use of Baldwin cause issues with warranty?
Should I take this as an endorsement for Baldwin filters or a warning about this particular dealership, which has a sketchy reputation in our area?
Single best thing I did was to delete the factory filter and install a FASS system. Super clean fuel with super easy filter changes.

FASS is junk but ok
Why would you call it junk? Pumps run forever and if you don’t like their filters you can run Cat filters on it.

The pumps fail often then take weeks to get replacements at times and the filters are not as good as OEM same with the CAT filters.

unless you need the extra fuel OEM pump is the longer lasting pump.
My pump never failed and it’s guaranteed for life. Filters from FASS I have now are 2 micron plus they remove all water and air from fuel. If you put water in it the pump will stall that’s how water tight it is. No factory filter I know of is that good?

They are not 2 micron thats been proven false many times and the OEM front filter is a true 2 microns with the nanonet for the 19+.

I have had FASS before on my 05 it was terrible i went through a few pumps and it took a week at a time to get replacements many others have had the same experience. I threw my fass out and put a different setup on it

If that’s true it’s the first I heard of this. Mine is 13 years old and still going. I will have to buy a spare or something else. What did you put on?

Lol!!
While you’re correct that your 07 smoker was lacking sorely in OE filtration, drinking the FASS /Airdog Koolaid unless it’s necessary (BIG power) doesn’t taste very good!
For those of us that don’t have pulling trucks or wanna be pulling trucks, a simple 2 mic filter installed downstream of the OE filter/water separator works very well and allows one to keep the very reliable OE lift pump.
