With stock injectors and dvs and a 215 pump you can get er real real hot. Im sure if you put your plate midway and tuned er right you could rock em for a while. Air first is prob a good idea though.

You can run anything you want with the control of your right foot! I'd look into a different brand though, ddp's are way overpriced and don't even have the correct spray angle. Id look at a set of 5x.012 from cpp.

Ive got ddp 75 hp's and with a number 8 plate they get hot quick and with no plate the egts go up almost as fast as boost. I am going to put the 8 back in and slide the afc back a bit to try and get egts under control a bit because camping season is coming up. I also have bhaf and 4 in exhaust. They arent too smokey though.

Who is CPP? I have never heard many people with anything bad to say about DDP.

I had DDP75's on my last truck, and I liked them a lot. I am just about to buy some 50HP sticks for my 'new' 2nd gen though, so I am trying to shop around a bit.

DDP's are okay, they're just expensive and don't even have the correct spray angle.

I have 50hp ddp's on mine with the crappy little hy turbo and quad adr and the exhaust is for the most part spotless.Egt's are fairly easy to keep in check to.

What are the dimensions and spray angles of their 50s and 75s?
As far as I knew, all their injectors are 155*. I know 90's are 5.012, and 5x.010 are stock, so the 50's and 75's are in that range.

I have DDP 75hp sticks. I ran them with the stock fuel plate all the way forward and adjusted my AFC. they did not smoke or haze at idle. but I did have to make sure I had at least 7psi of boost pressure before stomping it to the floor or they would smoke for a few seconds on the hywy.

After reading and researching more, if I had to do it again I think I would buy the 7 hole injectors more holes let out more fuel but those holes can be smaller which I think would have to help with better fuel atomization which means more complete burn equaling less smoke and better economy.

I built and then installed a set of 75 HP injectors for one of my buddies 97' 5 speed last weekend. I tested the old stock 130K mile injectors and they were popping a little low like 240 ish BAR but were still getting decent 18-20 miles per gallon.

The new injectors ran great, nice clean power with the stock turbo. I don't have fuel mileage results back just yet, but he did compliment on the "crisp" feel of the new injectors. Not a huge power difference going from stock injectors to 5x.011" 75HP injectors, but still definitely noticeable.

His setup: 4k governor springs, no plate, afc mods, rack plug, 18* timing, modified OFV, upgraded clutch, 4" exhaust, drop-in filter, boost elbow set around 38 psi, 35" Mud Terrains, and the new 5x.011 injectors. It'll turn over the 35's in 2nd and 3rd gear rolling hard into the throttle, just perfect for a good street truck, fuel economy minded, do everything including towing truck.

FYI, the small DDPs are 145* spray angle although they are quite expensive in my opinion.

same setup. except my turbo is wh1c. cut plate full forward, 16.5 timing, and i had the pop off set to 290bar on my last rebuild. big difference between stock and higher pop off. before 290 the egts were never more than 1300 and after they are about 75-100deg lower, and better throttle response as well. over all the sticks are very good in my opinion. but id go with bigger ones nextime
