I bought a set of nozzles for my 05 Ram . I wanted to change them out myself . I read the directions they have on line I think I can do but first wanted to get input from others who have done it to find out what problems I could run into. Do I need to buy the miller injector puller or can I pry them out with regular tools? Is #6 hard to get to and more difficult . I was reading my manual and it said cleanliness was important how do I keep everything clean in the process so I don't plug up the filters in the injectors? Any input would be appreciated thanks

Nope, you don't need the Miller tools, or at least I didn't. The injectors and connector tubes all popped right out. #6 is harder to reach, but I had no trouble there either. And yes, keep everything clean.

What kinda of performance did you get out of these tips? I have been curious if its worth the money or not. What other supporting mods did you have to run? Thanks

I haven't got them installed yet, but when I do I will let you know the results. I am hoping to pick up the 2 mpg they say I should.I am on a crazy quest to see how fuel efficient I can make this truck. Where I live you can't give a diesel away right now , so I really want to keep the truck cause I'm stuck with it anyway, so I am going to try to make the best of it .So far with my mods and using half of a bottle of power service cetane boost with each tank the best I have gotten is 24.86 mpg. That is hand calculated , I have an ST model and it does not have a lie-o -meter on it, or overhead .This is all highway driving at 55-60 mph keeping my rpms between 1700 and 1850. I am seriously thinking about a gear vendors overdrive for my next mod since all my driving is on the highway empty. I am going to try to install the tips myself since I want to learn how to work on the truck myself and have a chrysler shop manual to go with it. I just wanted to make sure I did not have to spend$143.00 for the injector puller unless I really needed it .I would like to hear what tools worke d for the guys who have done it themselves? The tube puller was only $10.90 so I purchased it.I will post result when I get done and I hope they will all be positive thank's

Keep me posted... I wanted F1's but I could not find any replacement sticks to buy and send in I can't have my truck down for 3-5 days... So I went with ddp. I don't think you can go wrong either way i just need my truck...

Is that the down time for F-1, i have a feeling i am going to need a set of of sticks soon as i have been having a rough idle in the mornings the last couple of days along with the blue smoke, it only does it for about 5 minutes then quits, and runs great but it just don't seem right? Are the F-1's worth the wait compared to getting DDP's and still having the truck to drive? How much would a used pair od sticks cost? Sorry to hi-jack the thread i just thought it might fit in here!:thumbsup

Thanks guys chad

You send in your ejectors to Don for inspection before he installs the new tips. If any are bad or in need of repair. He charges $150 per ejector (I believe) to repair them (the bodies).

That's what stands out w/ Don's tips (Flux tips). He inspects them, fix it and his tips are rated/tested at 39,000 psi so you can use pressure boxes w/o carnage.
