Dash removal on 2009 2500

If it's like my 06 you have to remove cup holder to get the two screws that come in form the bottom then it just snaps out

I would also like to know this. I know some vehicles are just held on by clips and you have to pull hard to get it off, but others have screws. Thanks.

on my 03 it just unclips with one screw.in the middle. the 09 should be close to the same. pull any screws you see on the front and bottom of the dash. then start on the driver side by the door and pull on the panels. be careful pull slow they should come out pretty easy.

I'm under the understanding that there are two screws on the bottom side of the bezel located behind the plastic panel above the shifter consol/cupholder. Then it just unclips.

Sorry to bring up an old thread. I am getting ready to wire my brake controller in the slot below my radio and was wondering if you ever got yours in? Do you have any pictures? Thanks

Brake controller install

In the 2009 the dash cover over the radio and storage area can be taken off by using a small plastic wedge to start removal at the bottom corner of driver side.
I drilled a hole in the back of the storage slot and ran the wiring through this to the back of the dash and around to the connection points the controller needed.
I mounted a P3 controller in the storage slot with double sided tape and it has worked great.
Easy to see and adjust.

I am going to hopefully get mine installed in that slot this weekend. Does it stick out quite a ways? Do you have any pics of yours?

Brake controller install

Don't have any pictures.
It sticks out about 2 inches and I have a GPS installed beside it.
Both are in a good position for viewing.
