Looking into cp3s. Anyone got any input on these guys? Have seen couple people running them. Whats there stage 3 pump good for hp wise?

I have been told that the DS Stage 4 comes close to the Floor-It stage 3, with that said I would assume that the stage 2 is somewhere between an FCA Mod and a full blown pump.

If I were getting one, I'd get the biggest CP3 available... prices are not that much more and you never know if you will want to use it.

The Modded CP3's still only deliver what the tuning / ECM requests..... so bigger does not hurt you any on the street.

JMO

BTW: we have several Floor-It pumps installed, they do the job and come extremely recommended if your looking for Power in a 3rd Gen.

Bobby is an hour from us and has got some stuff figured out on these pumps I know for a fact that their stage 3 has and will support 700rwhp on #2 alone and maintain 25k psi rail pressure in doing so. Their stage 4 is suppose to be insane and able to support 800+. For the price they can't be beat.

i have bobbys cp3 and im happy with it. bobby is a great guy will help you out with what ever you need and give info where its needed. he has a couple truck making huge power with his pumps think with his stg 4 i was told he has a truck making 850 hp #2 and i will be testing nitrous out on the pump soon to see what numbers i can put down. anyways email him or call him you can deside who you want to go with after you talk to those guys. http://darksidedieselworx.com/

Well Im def not shooting for 800 hp. I think the stage 3 will do what I need it to do. I think Im gonna end up doing a little 100-120hp injectors and a htt 64mm turbo.. Along with tnt. Maybe a small shot of nitrous one day for a little insurance..

Get your 64 with the 13SS housing and you just might love that combination.....

We just did something very similar to it and it's got great street manners as well

A stage four? they must be counting the number of additional steps of modification. The highest level of modification, involves over a dozen seperate machining operations. All these stage designations are confusing for the consumer. Obviously you would think the highest number equates to the highest flow on the market, that for sure does not hold true.
I think there are a couple of guys who would meet anyone anywhere to prove who has the highest flowing pump.:w:

From what I have heard he has a pretty good product. He does have some fast trucks out there.

How come bobby is banned from every site?
I believe he is banned from CompD for advertising in open forums. That is the only forum I have heard of him being on anyways. At least I think it is him, could be a cheerleader I dunno.

64/71-13 SS, and if you want a tad quicker light drop the compressor down to 62..... once you get the S400/480 it will be a great match

Who isn't banned from DTR :lol3::lol3::lol3: myself included (all the cool kids are doing it now days). Here's to larry :butt: . No bobby was banned for as stated above advertising or getting involved in heated discussions on both sites and not being able to bite his tongue. I know several people runnning his pumps and are making big power. As for flowing as much as anyone elses I just know his pump and john at floor its stand above anyones.

What do you think hp difference between the 64 and 62 both with some 100-120 sticks would ruffly be? I Just want to make the right choice once. Its a daily driven truck. Is the 64 to laggy for that?

The 64 is a great turbo, I love mine and I'm sure with some 100 to 120hp injectors it would be an awesome daily. I have stock sticks and its not really that laggy. The Darkside stg 3 pump is basically like the stg 2 from John at Floor it and Shane's stg 2 at Wicked Diesels.

Bobby is banned because one he was advertising openly and two his people skills leave something to be desired when it comes to people questioning his methods and parts.

when you ask this question, what size exducer is involved? If your 65mm you won't be laggy but will want the 64 mm compressor......... if your going for durability and all out rock and roll with a 71mm exducer you might want to scale back to the 62mm compressor to maximize your spool and get better street manners

I meet Bobby in Houston and he seems to be a very nice guy. Don't know anything about his products. As mentioned though... his people skills can use work. He mainly was banned because he wouldn't pay to advertise as a sponsor but, continued pushing his products. Most sites don't care for that.

I's agree with Wicked about the stages of a pump mod. There's only so much you're going to get out of a pump and if you're getting 800hp out of a single.... you're pushing that pump to it's extreme limits. The last thing you'd want it to explode a CP3 ! You can imagine the damage to the fuel system it would cause.

IMO, if you want 800hp... you better be running duals. CP3's aren't cheap... even if you get one from ebay ( which is a scary thought ! )
