This is my first injector change I've done on a truck and overall it went very smooth. It took me 4hrs start to finish. It was only around 40 out that's freezing for me, I wasn't in a hurry cuz I usually drop stuff and have a bad habit of not being able to find it...
I put in DAP 7x.010 SAC's heres some pics

It cranked up easy for only cracking two lines
Free Rev smoke was none had me a lil worried at first but after driving back to town I had no more worries
First impression is Wow! I drive like my lil grandma with a very light foot and it feels way better than my other 2 2nd gens that were tapped
Even with such a light foot I could tell a huge difference. My truck now going 70 is about equivalent feeling of driving in 2nd from before! Lol

I dont have a Pyro or boost in this truck so I cant comment on that

I do owe a big thanks to DAP and also Casey! any questions and concerns I had he didn't mind helping me out

Also since its been cold my truck has been studdering really bad. I thought it was the reman pump or the old d-box but it went away since the new injectors:party018:
in the pic of the old injector it was really gummed up nasty looking and the tubes had that crud on them also.
I cleaned the tubes before putting them back in
Glad you got it all done, but I still can't believe your complaining about it being 40° outside.

Very nice. I see that you fully removed the intake & high pressure lines... is that 100% necessary or does it just make more room to see what you're doing with the crossovers?

And are those the 7x.010 with an HX35? I'm sorry idk what a D-box is, is it a wire-tap? How's spool and down low power for driving around town unloaded?

OP do you have studs? If those are stock you may want to torque them down a tad bit more so you dont blow a head gasket

Everything in my setup is very easy to drive with. EGTs low but high when getting on it a good ways. Power is good. I only haul a four wheeler trailer and a camper nothing major heavy maybe my dozer but I havent hauled it yet. Just turn the box down when towing. I cruise unloaded with it on 5X5

I didnt plan on taking the lines off at first but With the advice I got I did. It didn't take much longer and you'll have to bend the lines if you didn't take them off.
I'm glad I did as you can see my tubes had crud on them

Yes I still have my hx35 on. I drive with an extremely light foot and spool is instant and plenty of power I usually shift around 2000-2200
Also a D-Box.is a old superchip same as the old Edge EZ

No studs. I was gonna retorque them to 130 but I don't have a accurate torque wrench
I was gonna borrow one from my boss but I ain't been to work in two days cause I been sick (stuck in the bathroom literally for both days)

I need to hurry an get boost an egt gauges cause I tow all the time
Lol yea IN and WV it gets pretty cold.
It also gets close to 100° here with high humidity.

I wouldnt tow with it until gauges and headbolts are retorqued

Close ain't enough then LOL
I just can't take cold weather. I feel comfortable in the heat. I ain't gonna lie it does suck sometimes but atleast I'm not frozen up! Haha
Yea but do you all have high humidity in Texas?

I got no worries for towing I'm just not gonna try to haul anything too heavy but in the winter the only thing I usually haul is one of my trucks but I use dovetails a 25' 32' and 40' float which ever ones convenient. Surprisingly to me the 40' weighs about 7500 and the 32' is 9400 or 9600 I can't remember

Yeah we do. I've only been outta Texas a few times to LA for hay
My brother has been to a lot of states when he was playing rugby and he told me north the temp is colder but it doesn't feel as cold.
Do you plan on upgrading your turbo in the future? Those are the same injectors I want to go with, but I'm gonna try to save up for everything at once. I just can't decide which turbo upgrade to go with. Think I will do studs and springs when I do injectors. DD clutch may be my next mod, my stocker is starting to slip pulling a grade.

I have a friend that took cold weather training in Alaska and he said that it wasn't as cold as Amarillo Texas. I believe that. I've spent a winter in Amarillo. That was the coldest I have ever been in my life.

Yes I have a 3rd Gen d-tech 62/65/12 on the way. It seems small for my fuel but I think its gonna be great. I bought a 3rd Gen one cause I want another common rail another 2007 5.9 to be exact. If I didn't buy injectors and a Turbo I would have already put the money down for one
I wish had studs to put in so I don't have to take the valve cover off again but oh well. It isn't hard. I left all the bolts in so they were getting hung up on the rockers

I bought this truck with a clutch its pose to be the half Kevlar one. It was real grabby at first but has since went away (guess he just couldn't drive a standard too well) but if I had a stock clutch in if would definitely be slipping. Even in the low rpm I was driving yesterday and a light foot it will pull hard!

We call that a dry cold what they have up north lol
Driving this morning there clean injectors. But anything over about 3/8ths throttle im more than pushing enough fuel cause I can really tell when the wastegate opens at 20psi cause I don't have a gauge to set my elbow
Be easy on it until you get gauges and a bigger turbo. the 62mm will make a big difference. It will keep pulling up top instead of choking.

DAP has the injectors and nozzles over $275 on sale for 10% off for the week.
