Anyone know of ever using a turbo off a Detroit 60 series for the bottom turbo on a set of twins?

dont see why not, you would want one off a 470,not a 500. 500's are wastegated and have a smaller exhaust housing for spool up. 470's are closer to Ht3b.

Alot of the higher horsepower non-EGR 60 series engines had S400's which is perfect for a set of twins using the factory turbo on top.

How hard would it be to compound a stock turbo with a S60? I'm a little unsure how a twin set up works because I've never seen them up close. Don't know nothing about 'em but I sure want 'em!

No any harder than doing and ht3b or s400 dipending on the rotation of the turbo. The stock turbo (or any holset for that matter) is a poor design and the wastegates are terrible. If you use on in twins it is a really really good idea to also use an external wastegate.

Do some googleing and you should be able to find some pictures of twin setups to get an idea of how they work, heres few Dual_K20s/Engines/Twins - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting. I know II uses a k31 on the bottom of their towing twins.

How about the turbo off an M11, or C12? If I look hard enough I should be able to find any of these turbos pretty cheap.
