Ok, so my tranny wasnt slipping but my truck is misfiring around 1300 rpms. This was causing me to think that the trans was bad. So we're thinking its an injector clogged. I have no blue smoke. I just added power service kleen diesel to it and we'll see what happens.

how can I tell what cylinder is misfiring? our obd reader can't read it.

help

most of the time a non-contact thermo gun on the exhaust is a quick way to tell, hit all the manifold ports and look for a cold cylinder

if you cant find the miss by checking the exhaust manifold temperature (start the engine from cold and run the engine for 30 seconds and check the exhaust manifold with your hand to find the cold cylinder)

you can try the crack injector lines one at a time and see witch line makes the least difference.

BEE VERY CAREFULL this is high pressure fuel keeps hands clear of fuel leaking!!!!!!!!

I used a lazer therometer on the manifold and I determained that the #1 cylinder is missing. Could this just be an injector bad?:confused013:
