Hello all,

Looking for a reputable shop to perform a Cummins swap on my 08 F250. I paid a mechanic, Brian Brown, his starting fee, 18 months ago. Yesterday I took the 4.5 hour drive out to check progress, as he never answers his cell phone and has been telling me he would drive it out next week, since April. He finally just stopped repsonding a few months ago. His wife answered the door, said she hasnt seen him in months but was nice enough to let me in his shop. Thankfully my truck was still there, however maybe an hour of work has been done. I will be hauling the truck back to Colorado Springs early next week. As I said earlier, looking for someone reputable to perform a cummins swap, preferably within a day drive of Colorado Springs. I know this takes time, and money. I am full time military and do not have the time or the shop to do this myself, so I am not interested in buying parts, I want to drop the truck off, pay a portion, wait until completion, pay the rest and drive away with a functional, reliable truck. I have already waited a long time, so I am willing to wait.

More background, prior to joining the military, I dropped my truck off at a shop in Louisiana, cannot recall the name right now, they bulletproofed the engine, then I took it to powertrain specialty/specialists? and had them rebuild the transmission and install Billet hard parts into the 5r110 transmission. The bulletproofed 6.4 ran amazing, for a long time, but I let someone else drive it home after dropping me off at the airport prior to a deployment, and when I returned, my truck never ran again. I paid 12k to another shop to fix the engine, they replaced HPFP, rail pump, all injectors, and cleaned the fuel tank. The truck ran for about a month and then started acting up again. Done with powerstrokes, I want a cummins, hence the post.

Any and all advice/recommendations appreciated.

If you was to give your location it might help someone to suggest someone to do it unless your willing to send your truck anywhere for this.

Colorado Springs, CO, it is in the post as well. But I suppose I could have made it more accessible.
I know I didn't know Colorado Springs is in Colorado.

From when I last saw Diesel Conversion Specialist where doing turn key conversions. They do like 💰💰💰.

You will want your tuning done by FumminsTuning.com. He also has a big network of people who could do the work.

I could have done the job for you a couple of months ago but I have up coming work commitments which will tie me up till About November. If I had all the parts sitting in front of me it should be about a 3 week job and the truck will be like factory. $4k for labor.
I use the DCS kit for the '08-10 Superduty using the '08-10 6.7 Cummins. My truck is the dark blue F450 welding rig on Fummins tuning site.
