I am doing a Cummins swap in my 2000 Chevy k2500, I’ve got a 98 24v in it and I can’t get it to fire up. I’m getting error on the code reader, only 1 volt to the lift pump, grid heater not switching off, then it was and now it’s not again, checked constant power and switched power to ecm its all good, ground resistance is saying 1.8 and I just bought a new ecm cuz I thought that was the problem but it’s still doing the exact same thing. I’m lost and need some ideas.

Ok so it turns out I did have a bad ground and I fixed it and now everything seems to be working properly but the code reader is still just saying link error and I still haven’t gotten er to fire up. Batteries were almost dead when I got the ground problem fixed so I will let them charge and try again.

Okay. We'll see what it does when the batteries are fully charged. It could still be several things.
