i have a '99 2500 5.9 cummins, it has a coolent leak in the cylinder head on the exhaust side just below exahust manifold (not gasket) @ #4 cylinder, coolent sprays out of a indetation in head just above gasket can hear and feel air when presureized, can plug with finger. is there some kind of plug in there that is leaking or a hole in the head. hard to see with removing manifold, whats the solution?

I guess you're going to need to remove the turbo and exhaust manifold and see what's leaking.

small frost plug leaking (slightly bigger than a pencil) by exhaust manifold, acidently pushed into head trying to remove it. any tricks to getting it out without taking head off? (can see it and get magnet on it just can't fit it out.) any concerns just leaving it in?

Try drilling a hole in plug and using a metal screw to pull out. May not be successful though. No problem leaving in head.
