So do any of you have coolant temps that go from 197 to 212? Just the other day I was towing my fifth wheel (9000 lbs) and temp on truck got to 222 under easy driving. I have had my thermostat replaced with an OE replacement. I was just curious if this is normal? I am new to the Diesel world and find myself being a gauge watcher probably more then I should be.

I have a 2012 Ram mega 3500 srw 4x4 laramie with 125k (Not deleted yet)

Thanks for everyone's help!!!

Sounds fairly normal. My truck when stock would do the same thing. The tstat is 200f and mine would open around 205ish. Even deleted it goes to 210-212 the first time and then cycles between 200-205ish and depending how spirited I'm driving will run up to 210-211 before coming back down. Normal driving it will sit around 203-205. A few days ago was dragging 12k around the back roads nice and east and it stayed around 208. So depending on your weight 220 isn't terrible. Mine is also a manual so may run a bit cooler.
