OK, first off, I'm new to the forum. Hopefully someone out there has a solution for me. My 2011 keeps pushing coolant into the overflow tank, and not drawing it back into the radiator. I drive about 50 miles round trip to work, and the overflow gains about a cup of coolant each trip. Everything I read keeps pointing to a head gasket leak, however, there is no coolant in the oil, no oil or black spots in the coolant, no leaks anywhere, no white smoke, no overheating, and the truck runs great. The EGR and throttle valve are deleted. No tuner, the only other mod from stock is a 5" exhaust. And I recently installed a new waterpump and 190 T-stat, and yes, I've tried 3 different new radiator caps, and added clamps to the overflow hose. The crazy part is that the truck is losing absolutely no coolant. If I siphon the excess out of the bottle to the exact same level, it perfectly tops off the radiator every time.

What if you don’t siphon it from the bottle for a few days, does it keep emptying the radiator and filling the bottle?

I'd say to let it sit for 12 hours, more than enough time to let it cool down. Check to see if the excess returned back to the radiator. Naturally, coolant expands when heated.

If not, take it to a reputable shop to have the cooling system checked. You won't always get coolant and oil mixing depending on where the head gasket failed at.

Yes, the bottle fills more each time it's driven. And I've checked the level in the tank right after shutting it off, and the next morning it's pretty much still in the same place.

Check the return hose for blockage. Also check the bottle nipple for blockage.
Did the T Stat have an air bleed ? View attachment 974211
The hose and bottle are not blocked, and I even put clamps on both ends of the hose. Not sure on the T-stat, but I may replace it this weekend just to see. The part that just doesn't make any sense is that it's not losing a single drop of coolant. Pushing it into the bottle, and not drawing it back out.

Didn't you replace it when you did the WP ? If it has no air bleed it can trap coolant on one side.

YEs, I did, but don't remember for sure if it had the pins. Don't think so, but it is a Murray stat the local O-Really store said was the correct one for the truck. Just read that there's a coolant bypass check valve in a brass fitting somewhere near the t-stat housing. Guess I'll look when I get home.
