I've been considering saving up for an Auto to Manual swap for my truck. Still have quite a bit of saving to do if I do pull the trigger, but I was wondering if there's any shops around my neck of the woods doing these swaps for a reasonable price. Anyone know of any? Thanks!

They deal a lot with used cummins parts but i know he specializes in 5/6spd swaps.

i know they used to post tons of craigslist ads. not so much anymore.

last time i bough anything from jamie it was a set of tires. i believe he must've been drinking that time. a rim was stuck on a truck. so the guy takes a forklift and repeatedly rams the fork into the rim to free it..

rough.. but effective.

I did it myself and did a write-up on some site yrs ago. Forget this $3000+ stuff, it cost me 300 for the tranny and 80 bucks for the pedal cluster...hardware and minor extras another 100-150 bucks

When I got in a pickle my wife came out to help me line up sumthin or help me lift something

It's not rocket science, just takes some elbow grease

BTW, it came out great and I drove that truck for yrs

Something to think about

I'd say I'm just intimidated by it to be honest. I have no clue at all about transmissions so u really never gave it a thought. I may have to look into it..
