does anyone know where i can get the tool to compress the springs on my truck so i can do a lift or level kit myself as i am going to put it on in the winter an take it off for the sumer.
My autozone has them. A spring compressor goes inside the spring, so you can't use that. Get a strut compressor, they go on the outside of the spring. It works pretty good. And it's free to rent.
Rachet strap works pretty good. Thats what I used when I did mine....we live quite a few miles from any Auto Part store, so you deal with what you got where I'm from. Just thought I would throw that at you in case you don't find one...
We used chains. Just put chains on the spings as tight as we could then when we jacked the truck up there was plenty of room to put the 2.5" spacers in.
