I have a cheep one I bought from NAPA
I have used it on 2005 F-150 Gas, 1997 Chevy Lumina, and my 2003 Cummins. It read engine codes on all of them.
It was NOT able to read the ABS codes from the Lumina.
Cost about $65.00
I barrowed a friends OTC and it read the ABS codes no problem.
It is internet updateable.
Costs about $3K if I remember correctly
