I just bought an 03 dodge with a 5.9L common rail and it developed a problem of missing on injector #1. It's got a edge juice chip with attitude and I thought maybe it was a short in the chip so I sent it in. Well it turned out it was actually the injector so i replaced it and that fixed the miss. Now that the chip is off it now throws a p0234 code which is a overboost problem. Can someone help me out with what to do? Will reflashing the computer fix the problem? Is it just the wastegate not opening far enough? It has an AEM intake on it. Do I need to have my chip flashed to? Is it possible that the chip has a corrupted file and it corrupted the computer now that its off? can someone tell me if i'm way off with my troubleshooting? Or is it a fuel leak? As far as I know I don't have a fuel leak. I've serviced the truck and I put a new fuel filter in and that didnt fix it either. Help!! Thanks!!!!

Let me get this straight you took the edge off now P0243 code is their?
If I am wrong some one chime in here. I don't have a edge.
Does Edge products have a built in boost fooler?
If so with you pulling the controller off its going to show up if your boosting over 32 psi. P0234 Engine Overboost Condition
that is the description of the code so that would tell me that you have a problem with your waste gate actuator. that maybe bad allowing you to reach 32+psi
Or your waist gate could be stuck closed...

yes after i took the edge off the p0234 code came up. It was not there when the chip was on. i'm wondering if it's the wastegate...what's the procedure to check that? It's ocurred to me that i should check the wasteggate but i dont no how. what do i need to do bout the boost fooler thing? I took it to a diesel shop yesterday and he said it's not gettiing enough fuel. He checked the pressure on the transfer pump and said it was good. The injectors where new two and a half months ago and i believe the injector pump was replaced then. Is it possible that the little regulator on the pump is bad? If it's that can just the regulator be replaced?
