alrighty well i got home from work on tuesday and everything was great. loaded up my goose decoys startin drivin down the road and none of my gauges worked. check engine light, abs..and all the other ligts were on. Odometer said no bus. turned around and went home. checked all fuses and were all good. so i took it to autozone to get checked and got a p1698 code. i hear thats the 2 computers not talking to eachother. so i was on my way to work the next day cuz i had no other ride and truck just shut off. cranks but wont start. unhooked batteries and hooked them back up and then the "no bus" was gone and i did the key flip trick and got a p1693 code. anybody got any help or forum they seen that might be useful? greatly appreciated.

P1689 No Communication Between ECM & Injection Pump Module

Is this what you meant or did you Mean P1698.... I could not find 1689.... So no help

There is a bus connector inside the PDC left of engine. It has lost connnection or a computer has died....More likely a wiring problem.

my truck still turns on though with scanner in place

Same problem, runs great,all gauges dead,all fuses good, connections good,new batteries, please help

I have the same problem 'NO BUS" Tach works all other guages dead, truck runs fine no check engine light.
