I'm getting ready to buy my sb dd. Anyone around central pa with some experience and a place to work willing to help a guy out or should I just take it to a shop to have it done.
if you were in ohio i would help you:thumbsup:. try posting this in the penn. state forum, might have better luck

You are going to have to drop the tranny, you will need a jack or tranny stand to do it, I found that on my 3500 it was NOT an easy job to do by yourself and YES you CAN HURT BAD if you don't know what you are doing. I ALMOST learned my lesson the hard way, my shop floor will always have the chunk of cement missing to remind me!
thats why i always use a tranny jack with safety chains. if you dont have any chains a ratchet strap will do just fine. wrap them around the tranny and jack and its much easier and safer
