nope but i plan on getting a SDD 3600 5k

same price, might as well have the extra holding power.
if you are going to be putting alot on that 3250 and sled pulling i would recommend going up to a 3650, but for just drag racing they do shift better

i second that notion :agree2:
but if you want to be really hard and sled pull go with a larger pl like 3850
I was looking at this earlier for when my clutch goes. I try and get the least expensive option. They say the 3600 MAY require a hydraulic upgrade and with the 13" upgrade I was thinking that if you go to far that you run the risk of breaking the 1 1/4 shaft if you don't do the upgrade. And another thought is the difference between the 12 button 3250 and the 6 button 3600. I really don't know what this means but it's my .02.
i have the 3600. the 3250 is the "tow/ street" clutch

its a great clutch. grabs smooth, shifts smooth and fast (for a dd) top 2 favorite mods to date. if you have a choice, get a diaphragm style

the only down sides to a dd. they shift a little slower (due to more rotating mass) and you to drive it like a grandma they will not engauge smoothly. i drove like a grandma for a few months and it started to engauge rough. i went in the back of my apt complex, did some boosted launches, and she is smooth as can be again. they like the abuse :spank:
Thanks everyone for the input, i dont do any sled pulling and just a little drag racing and messing around i just wanted somthing to hold the power. I have a valair 400hp rated clucth and can you say JUNK!!! i dont recomend any one buying one unless your stock..
Could have told you that ^^ Although call valair, I have heard of them helping out a little on the price if your upgrading, and they will stand by their products.

What was you thinking when you bought a heavy duty stock clutch and then say drag racing clutches are rated to hold power after engagement you can't take a organic clutch and boost launch it that clutch is good for what it was designed for and if it was properly installed now you want a dual disc wow what a jump that is
FWIW, I've got the same 400hp clutch from Valair and it's been great so far. Of course, I don't do any pulling, or launching. I do like to hold the pedal down when I'm already in 4th or 5th gear here and there and the clutch has performed.

Just to be fair, if there is one thing I've learned so far on these forums it is: you really do have to look ahead alittle and buy the parts designed to match your intended purpose. Doesn't matter if it's clutches, auto trannies, injectors or turbos.
I have that full organic clutche in probaly 15 trucks and a few of them are over 400hp and i have not go a single call with one issue with that clutch! If you want to abuse a clutch spend the extra money and do it right the first time and dont blame the product when i KNOW what its capable of. Treat the clutch right and treat it for what its rated for and it will treat you right! I had a Valair single cer/kev and was far over the hp limit and never slipped it once.
The reason for the big jump in clucth choice. is 100hp injectors and a 62-65-12 turbo upgrade recently purchesd. and also never abused the clucth like boosted launches. I know that kinda clucth is not for that . the only mods the truck had when it died was an edge/hot. started out slipping in 4th and 5th.
