So i broke 1000 miles on the truck today, towed roughly 5-6k about 700 miles and towards the end of the trip on the way home I noticed a clicking noise...nothing too loud, but never noticed it before and I only hear it when in gear, and it dies off if i drop below 1100-1000 rpms. As they get higher it get faster (kind of sounds like the noise from price is right when they spin the big wheel), any input, i'm pretty sure its nothing Good tho.

I had that too and even got the dealer to make a note of it on my record. Sounds like one tick per revolution right? Do you have a manual trans? It went away at about 10k I think. I have 12k now and don't hear it anymore and its a good thing because those kind of noises make me nuts and then I make my dealer nuts. I don't like chassis and interior squeaks and stuff but I won't cry to the dealer about that stuff. If it is something to do with the drivetrain my brain won't forgive and forget!

Not constantly... you can turn on the radio after she is up to running temp and nothing is abnormal. Then all you need to do is turn it off once an hour and listen in normal driving conditions. Twice an hour in severe operating conditions. Every 15 minutes if your woman is riding with you and you are having a fight about time you spend with your vehicles and not her.

I have had this clicking for good while now and it's driving me nuts also. Took it to the dealer they said it was exhaust leak, but they never found one. Mine is at it's worst around 1100 to 1500 rpm's. I wish someone could figure this one out!!

It may be part of the EGR leaking. I have seen pics of soot around the Mixing valve on the EGR Cooler.
