Clearance Lights
anyone know much bout putco or recon as far as roof lights. i dont have any on right now. do the kits come with a drilling template? any help would be awsome! :thumbsup

its not that hard it is already marked out in the metal above the head liner
We carry Recon, Putco, and another company called Pacer Performacne Products. Pacer has kits with the base, and wire harness.
I dont have the Dodge stuff on the site yet, but I'm working on it. Good stuff.

I have the recon smoked lights on the top of my truck. They come with the wiring harness and amber LEDs. I already had lights on top so I didn't have to cut or anything but it doesn't seem like it would be too hard. If you really want it to look bada$$ get some blue lights from your local automotive store and put them in there. They look extremely cool but I got pulled over twice so I had to change them.

Do the lights look just like they do on the web site? I see that the smoked 99-02 look different than the smoked 03-09's. Since the 03-09 are darker I want to put those on since my truck didnt come with them. Do they come with bases also?I have the recon smoked lights on the top of my truck. I bought a stock mopar kit off of ebay with the amber lights. For some reason, at the dealerships they have the older style triangle lights listed for the 98-02 trucks which is not the correct lights for those years. I bought the correct lights but it came with the third gen. template which does not match up to the 2nd gen. light holes in the sub frame. I found this write up online and used it while installing mine. It was a big help, read it, it explains a lot! :thumbsup

I'm not sure what they look like on the sight. I just ordered mine from 4-wheel parts. They come with the smoked plastic covers (which are pretty dark) and some foam pieces that you put under them to keep the water out. I put the smoke lights on my truck and i bought them from recon.com and i asked if it came with the wiring and template and they said yes but all it was were the lights and the bulbs. I was very dissapointed with them because with out the template it made it more difficult to drill an alighn the holes. Also the gasket didnt seem to sit real flat one all of them and the screws would strip out. If i were you dont get them from recon.com.
I bought some late model chevy clearence lights,and put recon clear len's on there.Overall that was cheaper than buying recon lights
i bought a set of no name cab lights off ebay, siad they were for 99-02 but were the old style.....my fault i guess lol
