Just wondering, in my truck my top cigarette lighter plug stops working when the truck turns off (thats where i have my radar detector). The one below that however, keeps working even when the truck is shut off (thats where I have my GPS ) Can anyone tell me how to make it so the lower 12v plug will turn off when the truck is turned off? Is that possible? Thanks

You can wire the bottom Lighter off the top one.

You also can pull out the top lighter and hard wire your GPS and your radar gun directly to the 12v posive line there and then wire it to a ground as well.

Or, if you don't want to do wiring, you can get an adaptor that has one male plug that plugs into the lighter socket and two or three outlets for 12 volt accessories.

Same here.

I did as was mentioned above. I bought a plug that splits off into two and just use the bottom one.
