Debuting alongside the updated Heavy Duty models, Chrysler's new Ram truck brand unveiled the Ram Tradesman today at the Chicago Auto Show as a budget oriented model for fleet customers, small contractors and for use on construction sites.

The Tradesman might be light on the frilly things, but it's ideally equipped where it counts with a standard 5.7-liter Hemi V8 making 390-hp and 407 lb-ft of torque and offering 10,450 lbs of towing capability thanks to a standard Class IV hitch and upgraded engine and transmission coolers.

Available as a regular cab short-bed (6′ 4″) or an 8-foot long bed, the Tradesman will be available as either a 4×2 and 4×4.
