I have the 4.11's in mine, they are costing me $$ for fuel, but what do you mean you can't take it anymore?

Are you changing your gears yourself? If not, you will have more than the price of the gears in the install kit and labor anyway.

The last tire change I went to a 35" tire and that did help a bit on mileage too.

Cheers
John

labor will be free ,
i have stock tire size now , will soon have 24's big rig wheels with low profile tires ,
the 4:11 are killing me in fuel , i travel allot, some times 600 miles in one day, mostly highway , the gears will pay it self off in a few months ,
right now 70mph is 2200 rpms
if i can lower that to 1500rpms the fuel savings will be great ,

try having a 6spd with 3:73's im turning 2178 at 72mph with basically 33's ,305/70/17 tires. I cant imagine doing much driving with a 6spd with 4:10's and stock tires. They must top out at 50mph lol

Keep in mind turning a large tire like that will eat up some power.

I am in the same boat. Man with 4.11's these things must be for pullin semi's up Mt. Everest. Check Randy's Ring and Pinion. They have a web site and nice people. I bought a king pin kit for my 93 off of them. Had it in two days and they are in WA state and I am in WV.

I too, would LOVE to have 3.42 rear gears instead of the 3.73's that came with my '07. I did end up putting 35 inch tires on it, which *maybe* reduced the gearing to 3.42ish, although I dont know for sure.
