lift pump running, crack inlet to fuel filter, fuel sprays everywhere when lift pump is running, then cracked outlet to fuel filter, same thing, fuel everywhere, cracked inlet to injector pump, fuel spray everywhere, also at beginning before all that bumped starter several times, now cracked fuel lines at 1,3, and 4 injectors, no fuel, after about 30 or 40 bumps did see couple of air bubbles out of #1 and #4, what is going on, truck ran great before filter change.

Sometimes it takes a while to get the air out. Your bumping the starter and the lp is running for 25 seconds or so? Are you cracking the lines when the pump is running?

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? Whats pressure when you bump it?

Have someone watch your injector lines while you crank the truck over, in effect you are forcing the air out, fuel should start coming out of injector lines pretty good, then start closing lines as fuel is coming out, truck should try to start at that point. Dont forget to put a battery charger on if you have to so you dont kill the batteries and dont overheat the starter or burn it up, 30 seconds at a time cranking and about 30 seconds to a minute to cool down before you crank it again.

Just for reference for the Fuel filter change.

Diesels are far different than gassers when it comes to air in the fuel lines. Anytime you break the seal on the fuel system you need to bleed it to restart reliably.

Once the system is sealed back up either open the H2o drain on the filter, or crack the feed fitting at the VP$$. Then bump the starter to get the Lift pump to run, Don't crank to start! Do this until you have fuel coming out with out air.

Tighten the fitting, then start the it will be a bit rough at first, but should smooth out with in about 30 second or less.
