P0471 Exhaust Pressure Sensor Range/Performance

my cel came on today with this code. i cleared code but do i need to take it into dealer or is this something that i can fix on my own??

no one???? i called dealer this morning and the guy i talked to was rude and no help at all.

:welcome: Code 0471 is Exhaust press sensor range/perf. I would say you might have just had a temporary spike in the exhaust back pressure if you had gotten on it hard and let off in a hurry. Just reset it and do not worry for now. Without knowing anything more about your truck I can not tell you much more.

the code has not reappeared although i have noticed that when going 60-70mph and letting off the gas it feels as though there is some sort of back pressure built up. it feels like the exhaust brake but not as strong.
