have done those, but when on level 3,4 ,5 on my edge egt temps still sky rocket, hit 1350 and edge alarms

Set your alarms to go off at a higher temp. You can hit 1600-1700 in short burst. Just don't want to hold it there for more than 10 seconds.

It will help, but it won't be a dramatic drop in egts. Just fyi, Edge runs hotter than Smarty and H&S products.
