Raptors are nice... but I bent the frame on my beat friends older brothers. In the same whoop section Ive ran mine in multiple times with no issues. I would say his was smoother, but his truck broke. I didn't.

We own a Raptor and as Equipped from Ford, we can tell you a well built Ram HD or well Built Super Duty with either Carli or Pure Performance Suspension will beat it up pretty bad and be more Robust. You can also build a Raptor too to improve it from it's stock configuration.

We built a raptor for one of our customers that insisted on it. In stock form, it road like a pillow on the road but was gutless and not impressive as far as vehicle control. After we installed 3.0 Coilovers, 3.0 bypasses and Deaver leafs, it was soft on the road, had amazing control and was an under-steering monster. I would put our Coilover-Bypass equipped F250 against that raptor anyday. A pintop with full leafs, TSB and Control arms would feed a raptor its lunch.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, the reason we ended up doing the raptor is because our customer hated the fact that his 2013 F350 dually with add-a-packs outperformed his raptor offroad.

What motor did you have in yours? Our has the 6.2 and it is pretty snotty! Not jacked up diesel snotty, but descent none the less. I can't wait to build it with our 3.25 and bypass shocks, but I am pretty sure we will break something! It will be Raptor Round Up Time then for sure…

It had the 6.2 with 35 Toyo muds... The truck got like 9MPG and wasn't slow but any of the stock diesels in the shop would've spanked it. Sure sounded mean though.
Can't wait for carli on my 2013 cummins so I can mob the dunes and desert

when i want an offroad vehicle then ill stick to a straight axle.

when i want a sweet street queen thats smooth ill go IFS.
I have to disagree IFS rides like a caddy off road when setup with long travel arms and deavers.
im not saying they dont ride good off-road but my implication was subtle but meaning ill leave my cummins to do the off-roading and leave IFS/IRS to street vehicles. i love my straight axle dodge and really wouldnt want to off-road in anything but the truck.
My father in law had one for awhile, it was a decent truck, rode nice on the road, looked decent. My thuren suspended ram 2500 rides and handles better, personally I think the raptor is a glorified mall crawler for people that want an off road look. Look at how many are out there with bent frames.

When did you ever notice a Ford Gas motor get good gas mileage in a truck? LOL….

Touche... The gas motors sound awesome but can't seem to get out of their own way. Then again, being in the diesel world this long, there aren't many gas engines (in trucks) that impress me.
I can tell you my Raptor will be getting a Super Charger.. More than likely a low boost one so I do not pop my 6.2L. Raptor Round Up here I come!

At this point when it is on 37's, has all our stuff in it and a Super Charger, gas mileage will not be a thought in my mind. That is why I own a new Ram HD with a Cummins. It is cheaper to tow the Raptor around with the Ram than it is to drive it! LOL

Precisley the answers I expected..........my wife wanted me to ditch the cummins in favor of the Raptor instead of "dumping" all this money into this truck. DUMB IDEA lol

I'm not sure what shocks you are running but based on the stuff in your sig you aren't far off from having a Raptor Beater yourself. Add a truss and maybe some bigger shocks and you should be right there.
You could tow a couple out to the desert spank them off road and tow them home. Great way to save on fuel cost.
Yeah lol I'm still debating on shocks because I'm waiting on details of the 3" radius arms......I don't wanna buy stuff now only to replace in a bit. I'm probably going to go for 3" radius arms and at least King 3.0's
You're still going to want the same size shocks, radius arms or not.
I thought they were going to try a 12" stroke shock....it wouldn't be different valving or anything? Seems like something would change. I know the arms make for more linear suspension travel.
