I have looked everywhere from junk yards to online and could not find a tie rod tube.

If you're not sure what I am talking about, it's the bar between the tie rods that runs parallel of the front housing.

I could get one made and that's probably what I'm going to do but I just wanted to see if there was any source of one before I go that route as it's going to cost a bit more.

The truck is a '90 4X4 first gen barn find with 108,000 kilometres on it that I am fixing up.

The tie rod you seek is just a straight pice of tubing, isn't it? It should have left hand threas one end, right hand the other,, right?
PartsMike is a good source for this, I used to keep several lengths of tubing in stock for the 4x4 crowd, and do just what PartsMike is offering for $79.00, pretty much any length. Only difference in tie rod and drag link is length
