I'm posting this for a friend he has a 04 ctd 6 spd with afe stage 2 intake 4" MBRP exhaust EGT Fuel psi and boost gauges and the edge ez. I've heard that the ez doesn't have a built in boost fooler but I'm a lil strapped on time and haven't had a chance to dig deeper. My main question is if it doesn't have the boost fooler is there a certain order you hook up the fooler and the ez to your MAP sensor? ie sensor, fooler, ez or sensor, ez, fooler? Let me know id appreciate it guys

Edge EZ module for Dodge Cummins Common Rail 2003-2004

The Cummins motor is one of the most powerful motors ever put in a pickup truck. The Edge EZ module unleashes the potential of this monster by carefully monitoring RPM, turbo boost pressure and fueling parameters and adjusting fueling to maximize power, torque and driveability.
Features:

Four power levels
Additional 40-70 horsepower gains
Quick and simple installation
Increased fuel economy
Excellent throttle response
Helps eliminate downshifting during towing

I checked edge.com out and couldn't find in the description anything about it even monitoring the boost for the 03 04 trucks. Either way we're gonna try it tonight and see if it does anything, the guy I picked up the fooler from slod his truck and slod it to me for 35 if it works cool if not ill sell it again lol. Ill let you guys know if it works and how we hook it up.

I have a 06 with an Edze EZ...so would a boost fooler be a waste or would it work?

It might be a waste since yours is 06 and not the 03 04's his chip only had the 3 settings not 4, and his truck also had a issue with turbo bark if you looked at it wrong. Since the boost fooler plugs into MAP as does the EZ we tried stacking it both ways, sensor EZ and fooler, didn't do anything that way. When we tried sensor fooler EZ there weren't any big changes in boost but maybe 2 psi or so but his turbo bark was gone. Even if it didn't give him more boost he was happy as hell for that.

Boost fooler and EZ

My 06 makes Quite a bit more boost with the fooler on. I havent had it off lately but ive taken it off and it wont build over 30 psi. with it its up around 45psi. My ez only works on the low or high setting, the middle will set a code of some sort and runs like crap. Never had good luck with edge stuff, but it was on the truck when i bought it. Mine works better with the boost fooler just my .02

out of curiousity MI Farmboy how did you stack yours with the edge? did you also have any issues with turbo bark?Ive heard that with the 03 and up common rails the smartys are the one to go with but if you have a 98.5 to 02 edge is the way to go. Ive had edge on both my 01's and i love em. thats my .02 as well

Mine is sensor-fooler-edge, ive never tried it the other way. I'm no expert, but thats how mine works best. As for the 98.5-02 I have know idea what works best there..never owned one.
