Call this guy J&H turbo services , Ken Irby ,800-826-5566 . He'll hook you up! A s300 rebuild kit is around 100$ and is real simple to do yourself. Let me know if i can help in anyway!

I used to work for a Turbo shop called Forced Performance. They are in Texas and they rebuild all kinds of stuff and have anything/everything you will need. Some advice is to have your turbine shaft and compressor assembly sent off for balancing and inspection. You may or may not need oversize bearings and the compressor has to be clocked exactly as it was removed or you will grenade the turbo. Remember turbos spin up to 150,000 RPM so it's vital that tolerances are absolute and everything is balanced.

This is where i have to disagree with you. if the nut holding the compressor wheel has been ground on ,than the comp and turbine has been balanced as a unit, if not than they have been balanced separately and there is no need for clocking. Ive rebuilt many turbos with no issues including the 2 im currently running! If the compressor nut has been ground i would def. take it to a shop though, if not its really easy to do yourself and save alot of money!

I have seen thousands of turbos and hundreds of failed self attempted rebuilds. I'm going by factory (garret) recommended service procedures and cold hard facts/ experience. Not saying it can't be done , but to do it properly there is a lot more to it. :)

what do you mean if the nut is ground? also, this turbo that i have has in/out as well as left/right shaft play. i am interested in rebuilding it for cheap to run it with my 66mm. a few buddies of mine say it will make a wicked street truck with that as a set up. any thoughts??

If you are talking running your 62 over your 66 in a compound set up its not going to happen. The 66 is too small, you need a s400 minimum in compounds. I'm not sure but you 62 silver bullet may have the 74 wheel which is also not preferred in compounds. You would be better off selling them both and going with a complete set up. JMO.

I'm just a little confused with how the 66 is too small. I don't know a lot about turbos and I just had a thought that since I had 2 that are a differnt size I could possibly use them together
