could yall help me out a little... whats needed for my heater to work ive been freezing my off and could use a little help here... all this was done when i got the truck makes me wonder why its like this hopefully it dont leak when i get what i need hooked up..... thanks yall

Well I would say that your heater core is leaking that's why most people do that. To hook it up the lines on the engine just go straight back to where they are cut off at the firewall.

No you don't need that, the piece on the left as looking from the front is the same. But maybe the way yours looks you should get a new one, that's a shutoff for the summer.

I will Bet the the heater core is bad run some water through it and see if any water show's up on the floor board if it does it's not that hard to fix just takes some time to get out

Cool thank you a lot... I hope the heater core isn't leaking its very cold at night when I drive home...

when testing the heater core fill it up, put a plug in one end and use a bicycle pump or similar to pressure up to 15 PSI. you may find it does not leak till there is pressure.

If i can get to it could I jb weld it... I have a 4 inch hole where the hvac box is I made to clean it out so its possible I might be able to reach it

The shut off valve on the left side looking at it from the front at the firewall, has the small vacuum line connected to it.

Yea I was just making sure I thought you where talking about another valve.....that valve is stuck and im going to buy a new one here in a minute.. I dont think the vacuum lines even work I noticed im missing the box thats under the brake booster that takes the bigger vacuum line..

OK I got everything done

But when I press the heat bottom nothing blow out the vents fuses are all there? ?????

Make sure the fuse is in there completely. These fuse boxes are well known and in my truck for example the radio wouldn't work. The fuse was in there but the radio wouldn't run. So tightening up on the female connectors in the box that hold the fuse actually connected the fuse and the radio worked.

The blower work's,a/c works but when I press the heat button everything stops...... is there something just for the heater like a switch
