I was retrofitting a fancy overhead console from an 07 Durango into my 06 ST today and tapped into the can bus (B) twisted pair under the dash for the console, I grounded to frame and grabbed B+ from the datalink connector and plugged my console in and nothing. I figured I got a DOA console and drove off but got a few miles and my airbag light came on for a few seconds then went out?? Is this related to my dead console or are the can bus b wires only tappable in certain areas?
