There might as well be no emissions. I just registerd my truck out here.Had to get it weighed at a scale house. They just do a visual inspection of exhuast. If they don't know jack about exhuast they wont even look. :thumbsup :peelout

solution to problem: go to nevada or arizona and buy a piece of dirt, get a p.o. box and license your vehicle in that state. screw arnie. he is an a hole demopublican turncoat. anything to please the skirts.
8501 lbs is less than 9000 lbs, you don't have to worry. i think it is meant for cars.
he couldn't do it to truckers, there would be people coming at him with pitch forks and shovels.
we can protest, you know?

aero muffler

does anybody know about aero mufflers?
i was thinking of cutting the cat off of my 07 ram 2500 and putting a resonated aero muffler in its place.
does anybody know if there will be repercussions such as sensors or something?
i need air and exhaust flow.
will it void my warranty?
i heard it will increase fuel economy.
also, i want to put a cold air intake on my truck.
is the stock one anywhere close to this?
i know a little and i am learning a lot.

I had AZ plates so all new registration and plates. Cost less for me to do it out here (CA) and I didn't have to hook up to a smog tester, like some of the older Cummins have to in AZ. But I dont want to give up my license it doesn't expire until I am 65. :woot:

I've heard from another guy on here with the same set up as ours and he has the aero on his truck and said it drones. He didn't say anything about fuel economy. There are no sensors that we 5.9er's have to worry about on our exhuast. You can run a straight pipe all the way out. Lots of drone that way. You can take your stock stuff off from the down pipe back and clamp on what ever set up you want. Then when (if) you take it in for warranty just slap on the stock stuff again. The air intake is on you it seems that everyone has a different brand and all of them seem to be happy. If you put both items on you should see increase in fuel economy. These modifications can void your warranty if the dealership doesn't like it. Most of them sale after market mufflers and intakes. So it is basically like flipping a coin. Hope this helps. :thumbsup

They're after out 'o state plates here too! Legally, you must re-register here quickly. The police use it to pull you over. Military is the only exception as it should be for those folks. A lot of b.s. rules here + a 18 billion dollar deficit.

A local guy here in SD cut out the cat but retained it. He spliced a straight pipe with band clamps in case the inevitable emission checks come.
