The term C&C or C/C in this section stands for Cab & Chasssis. This C&C option comes from the factory without a truck bed. Below is a list of trucks you may find people talking about in this section.

2007 and up RAM 3500 Cab & Chassis
2007 and up RAM 4500 Cab & Chassis
2007 and up RAM 5500 Cab & Chassis

Mods please make this a sticky :thumbsup

any different in frame length ? improve wieght capacity or something ?

would be sweet to get a quad cab and chassis on the long frame.

The frames are longer on the C&C
aren't the C&C frames narrower too?

My original plan was to purchase a C&C and throw a "take off" bed on there. It was too much time than I had to spend with all the differences.
They also come with a aisen tranny instead of 68.

Heres my wannabe C&C.

And this is what it looked like brand new.

Next truck will be an actual C&C though. Beds are made for DD's.

Yes they are narrower too. I am still working on getting my take off bed mounted. It can be done, and mine should be all ready shortly

A little off subject but how do you like the air hitch?
I shoulda bought the air ride when i first started. BIG IMPROVEMENT in ride quality not to mention it wont jar your truck into peices after many miles let alone your cargo. I even have a thicker back plate for that just incase moment!! Since my b&w looked like this after i took it off.

It looks like you avoided a serious problem. Hows the amsoil bypass system working out have you had an oil analysis yet?
I had an anaylisis sent out 2 weeks ago. IM PISSED AT AMSOIL. im going with blackston next round. I had 22k miles on it and 15k when i toook the analisys. Needless to say i got scared and switched out the oil filters (both) and put regular dino oil in it for now. i will keep ya posted when my anaylisi comes back. im gonna call today or tomorrow and see whats up.

Not to be picky, but...

Dodge - 2008 Ram Chassis Cabs - Ram 3500, 4500, 5500 Chassis Cabs

The 4500/5500 quad cab shortbed is 60" back of cab to end of frame. Longbed is 80". 80" is enough for fuel tank/tool box and whatever hitch you want.

Isn't it 60" from the back of the cab to center of rear axle and 80" on the longer version? My 3500 Q/C C/C is 60" cab to axle, they don't make a Q/C in a 80" I don't think.
my Bullet is 204.5 inch wheel base with regular cab, ya have to be carefull in mall parking lots
Here is my C&C in April of 07, when I was in Kansas for the B&W Elite bed installation. The fenders were made just for the trip (1500 miles) and looked stupid but they kept the Troopers off my back. The picture is in front of Chanute, KS City Hall.
Sorry the pic did not load, this is my second atempt.
