I'm looking at some btr race wheels, right now i have those trendy moto metal 951s they have 4.5'' back space and -12 offset and they line up perfectly with my fender flares. These btr wheels say they have 4.5'' backspace but there is no mention about offset and I'm concerned that if i order them they will be too far in my wheel well.. here is the link to them: BTR Racing Wheels 17"x8" Simulated Beadlock Wheels

Also what would you recommend for painting them? they come machined i was thinking maybe powder coating the middle black but i drive lots of gravel so i want something that will hold up well.

Call cjc... they'll give you the offset digits. Or PM them on here...
if you can swing powdercoating, thats the way to go. Proven in the roughest conditions.
BTR builds REALLY nice stuff btw.

It's impossible to answer your question without knowing the width of you current wheels. For instance, a 10 inch wide wheel with 4.5 inches of BS will stick out two inches farther than an 8 inch wide wheel with 4.5 inches of BS. Backspacing and offset are two different ways of measuring the same thing. But you have to know the width of the wheel to determine how the wheel will sit in the wheelwell.
