Ive seen lots of these mods for rerouting the breather line and bottle and am wondering why hasnt anyone just bought one of these and replaced the original bottle with it?

Since I cant post link yet, I just put the Amazon ASIN.

The majority of those don't have large enough fittings for the 3/4" hose on our trucks. I believe if you use hose that is too small it can create a restriction causing excess crank case pressure. If you run the hose up and over the motor, most of the oil usually just drains back into the motor. I built my own own catch can and mounted it on the frame by my transfer case.

Thanks for the reply. That's exactly what I was thinking. I think I might just make a larger catch can maybe out of 2" pvc and put a drain on the bottom. The biggest problem with the oem can is its too dang small!!

or you can just keep the puke bottle emptied. It hasn't been as much of a problem for me as these threads would lead you to believe.

I think the bottle has been tossed on a lot of these trucks. Mine was already gone when I got mine. The PO had stuck a heater hose on the breather cap and shoved the other end into a frame hole. The heater hose weeps oil everywhere as it's not intended to contain oil and becomes another huge mess. The inside of my frame by the front cab mount will also never have rust issues.

Routed mine straight down to the tortion bar with 2 ft of hose and no bends (no bottle). It blows oil vapor straight down towards the ground below the oil pan and it does not collect or leak a drop ever. It's kinda mean looking when idling and fits the theme of the truck...a very nasty and powerful smoke belching beast!
