I am in need of the NAPA part number for the bypass/replacement brake hose for the rear of the the truck that goes from the hard line and drops down to the axle. I currently have the height sensing gadget on the rear and wanna remove it. Just need to know the part number for the brake hose that is needed to bypass. Is it just the same brake hose for trucks that do not have the height sensing?

Did some searching and I came up with this part number from a few threads on different forums, Napa 38576 Is this the correct part for bypassing the valve gadget?

If you're feeling up to it also replace the brake cylinders with 1 ton chevy.


The one above is for disc breaks. Didn't notice that when I bought and installed it and I couldn't tell you what the difference is.

Scott- thanks for the reply. The only difference I see between the 2 part numbers is the thread size at the junction block. The one for drum brakes is standard and the one for discs is metric.

They must convert to match. I wasn't very clear before. . I put the one for disc brakes on mine and I have drums.
