I have a 1991 w250 and my brakes take a lot to start working. I have to push almost all the way to the ground to get it to a slowing stop. If I push it any farther it will come to a sliding hault but that’s it. Does anyone know what the issue may be.

Have you checked your vacuum after the booster in the little line that goes to the black box behind the left hood hinge, unplug it from there and put a gauge in there. It should be around 20 to 26 hg's.

Any auto parts store should have one they are called vacuum/fuel pump test gauge.

I just Googled it and Harbor Freight has them also.
