Wiring up the brake controller on my 2005 2500. The factory electric brake harness located under the dash has 4 wires in it. A tan with red stripe, a black, a green, and a white with a tan stripe. I have no idea what the green wire does, but I could not find it under the truck or anywhere. :banghead: The blue wire from the back of the truck was run to the front and was coiled up and zip tied under the dash. I plugged the pigtail that I bought with the brake controller into the connector, cut the blue wire and connected it to the blue wire that was coiled up. Seems to work. This was the step that I could not find any information about. So right now, nothing is connected to that green wire. Brake lights come on and I get the variable brake voltage on the blue wire at the 7-way hitch plug.
Hopefully this helps anybody who reads this so they dont waste their whole day jacking with that green wire.
