Wonder what the reaction would be if the wife brought home unannounced a $60,000 BMW or Mercedes painted in the Mary Kay Pink and when questioned he was told that the decision is non-negotiable.
If she made as much money as I do, she could bring home whatever she wants. But she doesn't work, so she doesn't get that option.

My wife is a beautiful and smart woman and mother, and she brings other things to our lives more valuable than money....in those areas we are equal partners. But she made poor financial choices when she was younger. Now in her late 30's, she is dependent on the most evil, hated, and despised wretch of a sub-human being alive on the planet today.......a conservative Trump voting white male.....God, guns, patriotism, big diesel trucks.....and in business and finances, I make the decisions. She didn't complain when I had a new Escalade Platinum delivered to the house on her birthday last year.

During my "banishment" in the shop yesterday, miffed as she was about the surprise new truck(s), she still brought up sandwiches, fresh potato salad, and lemonade for me and my buddy Steve......hard to find a woman like that.

I'm sure her urban feminist "liberated" friends consider themselves extremely fortunate to be working 70 hours a week, clawing and scratching their way up the corporate ladder, husbands balls in their purse, 1hr+ commute......while she stays home under the thumb of an evil white man......making sandwiches for him, being a mother, tending to the horses, and listening to the wind blow through the pines on a 100 acre spread.......oh the horror.

Well....tough to top that.

Although....some of us are in similar situations. My wife hasn't had to work (outside the home) in 22 years. But I wouldn't want her job looking after me, the home and my daughter I'm putting through University.

I'm thankful that I have a job that enables me to do it. And I'm thankful to have a beautiful wife who's 12 years younger than me and is my equal!

Same here....she's 12 years younger than me.....both of us previously divorced. I asked her a question one night when we were dating "Are men and women equal"?....she thought for a minute and answered "Men and women are not equal, they are complimentary".....like I said earlier, she's a smart girl, and I fell in love instantly.

Sure inside a healthy marriage there is equality in the relationship...give and take, but, there is a lot of life that exists outside of the relationship. I think the real purpose of the feminist/pc/SJW agenda is to blur the line between where human emotion/relationship end's, and the real world begins. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emotional_reasoning

We have disagreements, negotiation, and compromise like anyone else, but, inside my house, there is no gender power struggle between her and I.....if things come to loggerheads, I make the call. We got married only after she signed a Prenup....and she resisted for a long time. I desperately loved her, and didn't want to lose her, but I spelled out clearly and in detail the terms and conditions under which we would proceed forward. I am kind and generous to a fault, and happy to share anything with her, but under no circumstances does she have the option to take anything from me. Because that option is not on the table, she has learned temperance and maturity during those times of emotional reasoning (see above).

Guys I know this sounds harsh, but, American women have become dangerous.....all of them, even the good ones. The hatred of the conservative white male increases by the day. My wife will tell you the same, and I will have her read this later when I get home.

What she used to struggle against with me, she now embraces because she see's her friends shallow lives, the constant drama, listens to them constantly belittle put down their husbands, and is thankful that is not her.

Because I knew this all along, she looks at me with admiration and treats me with respect, and in return I provide her with everything she needs to be the beautiful, feminine, intelligent woman/mother she is.......not a man with tits like so many "strong" women try to be these days.

She's still pissed about the trucks, but, she texted me a selfie this morning of her wearing a blue sundress, no bra, probably no drawers, sitting on the porch having coffee with the sun streaming in. Girl would make a bulldog bite his chain. :)

Things must be different in Texas. I don’t see my wife as a threat to conservative males nor do I see dividing up household possessions into her pile and my pile - it’s “our pile”. And no I’m not a bleeding heart liberal/leftist either. Just a guy who has been married 36 years to someone who is as equal to me in everything in our lives.
Honestly, I very glad for you that you have found someone to share your life who accepts your rules and is content to stay home, raising your kids, feeding your horses and listening to wind whistling thru your trees with the occasional delivery of a Cadillac.

You've been married 36 years, and built your "pile" and life together.....I am envious of that. When my wife and I got married a few years ago, I already had my "pile", built by me in spite of the $$$ my ex wife forcibly took when she had an affair with the CEO of my company. I lost my job, children, and possessions, and started over from nothing.

My wife had no "pile" and a lot of debt when I met her and her 2 beautiful little children from her dead-beat ex husband. I took her and her children in and treated them as my own. My older daughters were in high school at the time and thought I was off my rocker.

The key phrase you said above is "Just a guy who has been married 36 years". If you got married when she was 20, then your wife is 56 at a minimum. You understand they don't make girls like your wife anymore, right? Also, the dating scene these days is a bit different than it was in 1981. So early on I did protect myself, and yes, they were my rules, but, now they are our rules.......and now that my wife has seen first hand the idiocy of my ex and the divorces a couple of her friends went through, she understands the wisdom behind my approach back then.

My wife inherited the horses when her Dad died, and apparently to Texas girls, horses are important, so I sold my house and property (deed in hand), and took out a note on this 100 acre spread so she could keep her horses.

You did get one thing right though......the wind does whistle beautifully through my pine trees.

Well they still make girls like they used too and I have 3 beautiful daughters to show for it.

Again sincerely glad it’s all worked out for you.

Ha!!!!.....good for you. My two girls are almost out of college and luckily they turned out nothing like their mother....thank the good lord for that.

I shouldn't make generalities about all women because I think it varies by region. My wife is also from Texas and like you said, things must be different in Texas.

so. Back on topic. @turbowizard nice truck, but one word of advice. Do not let a driller into it. You'll never get those seats looking that pretty ever again! When i was shopping i sat in a couple trucks with a similar interior, and as much as i loved it, i knew there would be oil or grease stains on them purdy light colors in no time. So i settled on a darker interior. But i'm sure you'll enjoy her

So how durable is the leather dash of the Laramie ? Does the sun crack it up?

Yes, ram needs brown exterior and interior , prairie doesn’t cut it.

I like the 2-tone brown interior of my Laramie. Way better than all black.

This is very good looking interior unfortunately my daily life would turn those seats to dingy brown in no time. Just not practical for an active family with dogs and kids but then you gotta clean it.....get what you want.

Personally I’d like to see a mocha tan ext and interior. For sure black is always a good classy option. Mercedes seems to think so.

My last 2 trucks had black leather interior. Prior to that I had the tan.
Black always looks dusty and dirty. The tan seems to hide dirt and dust better.
But the real reason, is my truck feels cooler temp wise with the tan and feels much bigger inside with the lighter interior. It goes well with white exterior.

Because I have to have white as part of my work criteria to get my truck allowance, I'm fine with that as they basically pay for my truck and I own it. I end up paying about $150 a month over my paid allowance for my truck.

I agree @daMonk. A Mocha tan exterior and interior would be a nice combo!
