Right now my 96 ram has the bhaf, 4" mbrp, no plate, tuned afc and its great but as always i want more. Im towing a 28ft enclosed trailer with the race car and it handles it well but im at the point i need a bit more.

I have 370s and ddp75hp readily available not sure which is better.

I hear the 370s haze and have higher egt's
But i hear the ddps have issues "popping"

* i have yet to see anything higher then 900 egt wise

So what is everyones thoughts

I would take pains to run injectors with the proper spray pattern, for anything else will just cost you fuel mileage as well as ultimate power, not to mention the risk of filling the oil pan with fuel from spraying down the sides of the cylinder walls with the wrong injector angle.

I have 370s in my 95. Pump is stock but I can hit 1200-1300egt fairly easy on a hard pull. Maybe haze at cold idle but it could just be that its an old beat on truck. Only smokes heavy when it shifts into overdrive right now, and that goes away fairly quick.

Lots of guys have run them, and early on they were the way to go before all the other builders got into the act. But these days, we can have custom extrude-honed injectors with the proper spray angle that deliver the most power with the least fuel. Hence my recommendation.

Yep mine were in when I bought the truck, I'm sure I'd buy normal injectors if it were up to me.

Couple inches off the end of downpipe top side
There you go. You're probe should be in the manifold closest to the back 3 cylinders. Thats why you're only reading 900 deg which is actually more like 1200-1300. Any bigger of an injector and your likely to see even higher egts.

370s are ok as long as you dont run to much timing. If your already getting hot with the no plate, its only going to get worse. How long do you have it 900? If for short periods of a time you should be ok. I have pegged my 1600 pyro a few times in the past and didnt hurt anything. At least every thing looked good when I had the head off last time. Like said above put the probe in the manifold pre turbo.

A friend just enlightened me on another make of injectors. DAP diesel auto power

There basic 40-90hp sticks are the correct 145 spray and there hand inspected and pop tested. 300$ a set cant go wrong plus the core.

Anybody here about there product?

I know there rated by hp but does anyone know the torque gain like actual dyno proof

Little update: Got the injectors from DAP the 90hp i was pleasantly surprise how quick they came i think it was like 10days and that was coming over the border plus i seen the delcared price was knocked down which saved me some money ( i live on vancouver island mid island area and it was $20 via usps)

I Built a injector puller from 4.50$ worth of hardware from a parts store used the lug nut and welded it to a 3/4 2 1/2" long bolt with a nut and it worked great.

I had no experience at all with injectors but figured it couldnt be that hard seen a video on youtube made it very easy and all you need is basic tools minus the 1 1/8" wrench for the nut on the puller and the crescent wrench to match for a lock.

I started at around 5:30ish pm or so and had it all back together around maybe 8 or so and that was for a few breaks and friends stopping by to BS

cracked the injectors and primed it and it started immediately i let it run for a bit make sure there was no leaks or any other problem and aside from having to tighten up #3 injector lock nut a bit it was bone dry and ready for the test drive.

All i can say is wow.... from the get go you can feel there is definetly more on tap then before but as soon as it shifts to 3rd and you lay into it it almost puts you back in your seat. when i hit 80k and shift it into OD and it locks up its AMAZING the torque it has now it really takes off from 80-120ish or so its amazing a 3 1/2 ton tank can accelerate like that.

I watched the egts and they are slightly higher on average maybe 150degree give or take there is a slight bit more smoke but nothing gross unless i try to bog it which was fun.

2 thumbs up for DAP i highly recommend them i have already suggested them to a few others now

Im just in the midst of hooking up my fuel pressure guage i have it mounted just need to drill/tap my banjo bolt but i sprung for the sexy braided stainless look have that in the next day or so then i can see whats going on make sure my pressure is ok

Seems like i said i would stop at injectors but im thinking super B shortly.... hah

Does anyone have any power numbers on this kinda setup i know it varys between pump tuning but must be a ballpark im thinking mid 300's in Horsepower and probably 800-900 ft lbs?
