First "mod", tint guy is here right now 👍
Done....

No but I been thinking of taking the vinyl off mine and let the paint shine.I also think the vinyl looks cheap.Fine looking truck. Of course, I would think so.
Anyone ever replace the matte vinyl on the B pillar with some nice gloss black paint? I think it would look great with one of these dm red painted bumper package trucks....
I wonder how easy it comes off??No but I been thinking of taking the vinyl off mine and let the paint shine.I also think the vinyl looks cheap.
Crazy easy. I removed mine and love - A little heat continuously moved and it peels from top to bottom real easy. I unscrewed the small screw inside the door that holds the exterior weather strip at the bottom and just barely pulled it away from the door so the vinyl would pull all the way out. Edit: Just realized my profile picture shows what it looks like.I wonder how easy it comes off??
Last one didn't post: It comes off very easy. I removed mine and love it. Heat gun or hair dryer moved continuously to warm it and pull down from top to bottom. At the bottom there is a small screw inside the door edge that holds on the window weatherstrip. I removed that and barely pulled the window strip so I could get it all the way down. Push weatherstrip back and reinstall the screw. My Profile pic/avatar or whatever they are called today shows how it looks. As I said I love it and feel it provides a better flow of the doors.I wonder how easy it comes off??
Very nice truck!
Can you post a bigger picture? Thanks.Last one didn't post: It comes off very easy. I removed mine and love it. Heat gun or hair dryer moved continuously to warm it and pull down from top to bottom. Mine was all wrinkled around the edges and cracking with a thousand miles on the truck. I think pulling off that crap was the very first thing I did. Before and after:No but I been thinking of taking the vinyl off mine and let the paint shine.I also think the vinyl looks cheap.
Thank you. Yeah, it would be a different story of the blackout were shiny. Then it would blend with a dark tint and look like it's supposed to. But flat/matte ... it just stands out like a sore thumb, IMHO.@EricPeterson
That looks great. I have a heat gun, I might go do this tonight if the kids go down easy/early haha.

My buddy pulled his off. His truck sits outside and it started fading pretty fast so he pulled it off. Pretty simple he said. I might have to do that and let the white shine thru!!I wonder how easy it comes off??
Ceramic tint I'm assuming since you are in AZ? I never knew about that stuff. My 06 Duramax only had the stock privacy glass on the rear doors/window. A buddy of mine told me about it. Man it makes a HUGE difference!! I didn't do the windshield though. I don't think I really need it where I'm at in SoCal. The family did notice how headlights blur out on the ceramic tinted windows though. So I'm glad I didn't do that to my windshield.
Yes correct, it is ceramic tint. Makes a pretty good difference.Ceramic tint I'm assuming since you are in AZ?
